Services
Our equipped van will arrive at your home where we will begin setup for the session. The van will be plugged into the nearest water and power supply. We have a bathtub, grooming table, heated water and the highest quality grooming products to ensure the safest and most comfortable grooming experience available.
Standard Groom
First Brush
This loosens up any dirt and hair to prep him for his bath
Warm Shampoo Wash
At Pet Inc. we only use the best shampoos that are specially formulated for a dog’s skin and coat. These range from normal to hypoallergenic depending on your dog’s needs. Human and baby shampoo should not be used on dogs as these can dry out the skin and coat.
Warm Water Rinse
It is vital that the shampoo is thoroughly removed so as not to cause any skin irritation.
Clean Ears
The ears are checked and then gently cleaned (upon request).
Towel Dry
To decrease blow-drying time, excess water is removed with a fluffy towel.
Blow Dry
We use a hand-held blow dryer that allows for better control over heat settings. We do not use drying cages.
Second Brush
Any loose fur that may still be lingering after the bath is now brushed out and tangles removed.
Freshness Deodorant and Final Brush
To help your dog smell fresher for longer, this specially formulated spray softens the skin, helps coat and skin retain moisture and reduces irritation. It also contains an antimicrobial agent which kills bacteria that may cause odour.
Extra Services
Please note that some of our extra services are highly dependent on your dog’s temperament. As the safety of your pet and our groomers are of the highest priority, each dog will be assessed individually.
Tick and Flea Treatment
We know that getting rid of ticks and fleas can be a tedious task. As much as you love your little fleabag, do you really want to put him in your car to take to the grooming parlour? No worries, we will take care of this itchy problem for you.
Conditioning Treatment
For extra softness and a lustrous coat, particularly for those with longer hair.
Clipping Nails
Some dogs may never be comfortable with getting their nails trimmed, it is therefore important for you to get your dog used to having his feet handled in order for him to have a pleasant experience. (dog permitting)
Sanitary and Paw Trim
To keep your dog's derriere nice and neat a sanitary trim is recommended. We also remove excessive hair that sometimes grow on the underside of the paw.
De-matting
De-matting can be a long and painful process. We don’t want to hurt your pet, place him under additional stress and make the grooming experience a bad one. Therefore, because of excessive matting we have to shave your dog, possibly down to the skin. Please be aware that after de-matting the skin may be irritated, and matts that are very close to the skin may mean that when shaving a little nick may occur. Pet Inc. will not be held responsible for this and the owner needs to sign a Matted Dog Release form in order for us to continue. Please note that you can avoid matting by regularly brushing your dog.
Clipping and Scissoring
Whether it is just to neaten up the coat or getting rid of excessive hair, especially on longer haired breeds.
Please take note that due to COVID we will keep
human contact to a minimum and some of the
procedures may change.
Also, due to the nature of our business
we are unable to accommodate giant breeds.
